Connect one wire from the new light to the single. Connect the other to the wire without yellow on it at the double connector.
After the interior facelift in 2007 the illumination was changed to red. Late Focus MK2 Climate Control panels with red illumination have a slightly different design from the Focus MK2.5, Kuga MK1 and C-max MK1.5 Climate Control panel but are technically fully compatible. Hi , got a MK2 focus with an intermittent boot light, been told it's a possible sticking microswitch. Have checked the wiring under the rubber boot between boot and body. Is the switch located in the boot catch mechanism?

11 posts · Joined 2013. #7 · Jul 29, 2013. My mk2.5 footwells and number plate bulbs are 501 same as the interiors with the exception of the main front interior is a festoon. I also have LED's in the puddle lights which are again 501's. My boot light is a 501 as I have added a second boot light in mine and got white LED's all round.

The Mk2/2.5 Focus does not. The only possible exception is the door mirror lamps, but I am 90% sure these will be ok too. Just go back to filaments if any "blown bulb" messages appear.

Basically where are the two to metal prongs make the connection one was touching the outside rather than on the inside it's obvious when you start playing around because there's two little grooves where the prongs fit into. Just thought I'd post this case someone else has the same
